GREENVILLE, SC — On Friday, Dan Hamilton will start running two ads in the Upstate TV markets.
One ad will highlight Dan’s personal adoption story, about how Dan’s mother sacrificed her own life to save Dan by refusing treatments for cancer while he was still in her womb. Dan was orphaned at 9 months old and adopted by the Hamilton family who brought him to Greenville. The ad is titled “Greater Purpose” and speaks to why Dan’s pro-life views are incredibly personal and why he has dedicated his life to serving others.
The second ad will speak on Dan Hamilton’s experience in the South Carolina House, where he earned an A rating from the South Carolina Club for Growth and has been called a “Taxpayer Hero.” Specifically, the ad will discuss the “Hamilton Rule” which requires legislators to wait 48 hours before voting on budgets that come back from the South Carolina Senate so that they have time to be read.
“The choice made by my mother has been the example of sacrifice and service to others that I have dedicated my entire life to honoring,” Hamilton said. “My mother spent her final moments finding me a Christian home and made sure that I would be raised right. My mother and father, Joan and Glenn Hamilton, raised me knowing that I am the result of a selfless choice. That knowledge has been the guiding light in my walk with God, my service to others, and my love for my own children.”
Dan Hamilton is a father of four and has been married to his wife Kelly for 19 years. Dan is an Upstate businessman who employs over 500 people, and has served in the South Carolina State House for 10 years.
